Inspiring Blog Award

Rules to this award:

1. Thank the person who gave you the award.

2. Tell 7 things about yourself that will not have come up in your blog entries.

3. Pass it on to 7 blogs you find inspiring and explain why.

—–

So first of all, thank you to much to dear Steph at lostupabove. She provides me with overflowing inspiration by posting up all these amazing poems by the most inspiring poets that I otherwise would not have the time to go look at it. She also often shares with us different forms of art such as music. Those are a pleasure to look at really and I always take something out of her posts.

—–

Seven things about me…This is a little difficult, I’ve already used up a lot of my good facts.

1. I play excessive amounts of Draw Something on my phone. There’s something about doodling that piques my interest continually.

2. I laugh a lot. Sometimes for no reason. Including at my own jokes, of course. Even if no one else does.

3. I love apples. But my braces make it hard to eat them. Can’t wait to get them off in a year and a bit.

4. I like sharpened pencils. Dull ones make me sad.

5. I love. easily.

6. I’m extremely indecisive and thus, get confused easily.

7. I’m a little sadistic and mean. Sometimes.

—–

Seven nominees!

1. Authormercedes because her poetry is relatable. Also because she’s been so supportive of me that I almost feel spoiled. Thanks lots to her. You’re missing out if you’re not already following her.

2. 21 Minutes because his posts are always relevant to his life and thus are relevant to mine. They provoke thought and there’s nothing more inspiring than thought.

3. Nenskei because she’s been so supportive of me. Her blog posts are full of her life experiences, vibrant, refreshing, and always a pleasure to read. She’s like the part of me that I never let out in my own entries.

4. Bluefiadiarries. Fia’s been more of a friend than I’ve ever asked for. She reads my long, overbearing rants and throws at me the most positive advice packed with her own experiences for inspiration. Her blog entries are full of spirit and enthusiasm that I don’t think I’ll ever be able to match.

5. Moon Light who supported me first. She encouraged me to keep writing and keep working at my dreams. There’s no individual more inspirational than she is. She also writes the most intellectually arousing reviews ever. Ever.

6. Eric Alagan. His entire blog screams inspiration. Need I say more?

7. Grandfathersky. I would be lost without his inspiration. I’ve never had so much unconditionaly support from any one person ever. There’s also somethign about his poetry that brings me back again and again to lose myself in a world where things make a little more sense. I’ve learned a lot, grown a lot and he’s been by my side the whole way.

Creative Chaos Award

Rules to this award:

1. Thank the person who gave you the Award.

2. Take your best shot at the 3 tasks listed below.

3. Nominate 5 people who recently followed your blog.

——–

A huge thank you goes out to my dear beloved bipolarmuse for constantly thinking of me, supporting me through all my WordPress endeavours, and presenting me with this wonderful award. Her posts provide insightful information into the bipolar disorder and also reach into emotions that are relate-able to everyone. She’s an amazing person and my daily fix of emotion.

Also a warm thanks to my fellow poet Alexander Pseudonym who has also given me this award. His poetry presents a sense of realism and observance that I can’t quite see anywhere else. Unique and wonderful.

——-

First Task

Three weird things I / you do:

1. I make midnight runs for coffee and donuts when I know I’m staying up late or pulling an all-nighter.

2. I like to hug a stuffed animal while using my laptop….or anytime really.

3. I like to doodle in class.

Second Task:

You must tell why you look at the “glass half full” scenario and ask “what? No coffee?”

A writer needs his or her coffee. For those late nights. Terrible, but sometimes that extra adrenaline can be awe-inspiring.

Third Task:

You find yourself in a desolate place when your car breaks down. You have no cellphone service, no Walmart, and only a candy bar for food. It is 150 miles to the closest town. What colour are your pants and why?

Blue. Like the color of the taffy I’m eating.

I found this on my Conversing With Novels and I thought it was a wonderful idea. Thanks so much for sharing it, Amber. She’s an amazing writer and caring friend so if you’re on the lookout for good blogs to follow, please do pay her a visit for me.

——

I am definitely going to rewrite this later…but here’s the segment from my WIP “Stronghold”.

“Anything you know was programmed into you.” Roza pulled Raine back into the control room. “Someone could’ve programmed you all that data. My mother. Ben. It’s possible that you sent me those messages. In fact, I know it’s true.”

“It’s not!” Raine shouted. “I didn’t write those messages. Neither did the old Raine. I would know if I did. Why can’t you trust me? Roza, you always used to trust me!”

This is worse than an argument between a teenager and her mom, Roza thought bitterly. She didn’t want to bicker with Raine. She wanted to trust him so very much. She wanted the entire thing to be a lie, but the facts just didn’t line up. It couldn’t be a lie. It just couldn’t.

“Explain to me then,” Roza opened her phone. “Why the sender address is the same for this fourth message as all the other three? The exact same location.”

Roza connected her phone to the computer and programmed the tracker to find the original signal. She hacked into the satellite that she had always used with Ben and formatted the coding so that it would give her a map. A result popped, but a second later, the screen blacked out. Raine was trying to prevent her from seeing the results. It was too late. She had seen perfectly clearly where the signal was from. Inside the tower. The messages were sent from inside the tower.

Her photographic memory brought the images up again and she tracked down the approximate location of the signal. It was in a room near her bedroom. The twenty-sixth floor. She headed out the door of the control room and went straight to the elevator. Not going to take the stairs this time. I have to know for certain what’s in that room. The elevator arrived from the bottom floor in less than thirty seconds. Raine tugged at her arm with both of his, desperately trying to prevent her from entering the elevator.

—————

I’m going to do the same thing as my dear friend Amber and let anyone who wants to do this go for it. Simply like this post and post the link down below so I can come over to your blog and read what you’ve written. (: Or do a pingback. Anything works.

Even if you’re in working a novel, feel free to drop me a link to a short story or poetry. I love reading pieces of writing.

Grandfathersky has been so supportive of me throughout my entire blogging experience and I simply can’t thank him enough. He is an inspiration to me and most like many others.

Thank you so much! Oh how I simply feed on your support like a hungry mouse fallen into a mouse trap. Except it is a very kindly trap you have set up.

Mrs. Sparkly’s Ten Commandments Award

“I am certain that Mrs. Sparkly, a woman of high expectations, commitment and integrity would agree with this approach. She is notable, respected in her own community and likely to be peering down upon us; possibly spell checking and taking notes that feed into a mammoth government information data collection system (MGIDCS). She may have been recruited because of her discretion and integrity even behind closed doors.”

The rules of engagement are:

Ten Questions must be answered with complete honesty or Mrs. Sparkly will find you. Mrs. Sparkly-we love you. We Do! Manners and behavior, words beyond reproach… Then tag five other people.

—-

1.Describe yourself in seven words.

Stubborn. Silly. Hopeless. Dreamer. Otaku. Geek. Gamer.

2. What keeps you up at night?

School. Idle Thoughts. Blogging. Gaming.

3. Whom would you like to be?

A doctor specializing in Geriatrics. My grandfather has Alzheimer’s and my family does so much to deal with it, but it’s difficult. I’d like to help others that go through the same path – possibly my own family.

4. What are you wearing now?

T-shirt…and shorts. I’m sleepy.

5. What scares you?

Bugs. Being alone.

6. What are the best and worst things about blogging?

Best thing? The support and the wonderful people here.

Worst thing? Not having enough time to read all the blogs I follow.

7. What was the last website you looked at?

Gmail and Tumblr. Sorry WordPress for having a second blog, but I love you more! Maybe.

8. If you could change one thing about yourself what would it be?

Hard question…I wouldn’t just change one thing…I’d change a lot.

I think I would fix my procrastination habits. Get things done on time instead of at the last moment. I’m procrastinating as we speak so I suppose it’ll take a long, long time before any change occurs.

9. Slankets, yes or no?

Maybe, but I’d rather have a regular blanket. And a cat. And maybe someone to snuggle with.

10. Tell us something about the person who tagged you.

Bipolarmuse is amazing as both a blogger and as a friend. I relate so much to her poetry…it’s wonderful really. The way she deals with being bipolar is stunning and inspirational. I love her blog so, so much.
