Skylight

Render her faithless with fortune’s hand,

And she will follow the Silk Road to the end of this land.

Azure lit eyes and autumn-dyed hair

A spirit so flimsy, so free, so fair.

Cathedral glass wings that flex in the skies,

Invigorate the wicked that lurks in her guise.

Render her faithless with fortune’s hand,

And she will lose her way in this fanatical span.

Up, up, and never come down,

All is lost when she touches ground,

An evil so great it penetrates hate,

Hisses and screams until none can sedate.

Render her faithless with fortune’s hand,

And her wings of glass will turn to sand.
